WHEN GUEST RESPOND 'WILL NOT ATTEND' WHY DO THEY.....VENT!!!!!.

OKAY SO I HAVE THIS INDIVIDUAL THAT EATS LUNCH WITH ME EVERYDAY FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS....SHE RESPONDED NO....WHICH IS OKAY SHES A FLAKE ANYWAY BUT NOW SHE EITHER DOESNT COME DOWN FOR LUNCH WITH MYSELF AND THE OTHERS OR SHE AVOIDS EVEN HAVING THE WEDDING CONVERSATION AT ALL......WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? IS SHE AFRAID THAT I AM GOING TO JUMP DOWN HER THROAT?????OH NO NOT ME, SHE RESPONDED TO SOMEONE ELSES WEDDING THAT TOOK PLACE LAST SATURDAY AND MADE THE DECISION ON FRIDAY (AFTER BUYING AN OUTFIT) THAT SHE WAS NOT GOING TO GO....SO ITS BETTER AND A SAVINGS IN THE BANK THAT SHE TELLS ME NO!!!

THEN THERE IS ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL THAT TALKED A GOOD GAME AND BRAGGED ABOUT HOW SHE COULDNT WAIT TO COME AND HAVE A GOOD TIME......I NOTICED THAT SHE TOO HAS BEEN AVOIDING ME AND NOT BEING AS CHATTY AND FRIENDLY....WELL TODAY I FOUND OUT WHY..... SHES NOT COMING......

WHY DO PEOPLE ACT FUNNY? I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THEY ARE DOING THIS BECAUSE OF ONE OF TWO REASONS:

1) THEY HAVE A REASON BUT THINK THAT I AM GOING TO FLIP ON THEM
OR
2) THEY DONT HAVE A REASON AND ARE JUST CARRYING THEIR OWN GUILT OF NOT BEING ABLE TO JUST TELL ME THEY ARE NOT COMING.....

TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS I DONT CARE...... NO I AM LYING FOR SOME I DO (LIKE MY AUNTIE BUT HER REASON IS TOTALLY UNDERSTANDABLE)

I RESPECT THOSE MORE THAT SAY....OH ANDREA I CANT COME BECAUSE....BLAH BLAH BLAH,.......AND ITS OKAY IF THEY DONT WANT TO GIVE AN EXPLAINATION...THATS FINE TOO, BUT DONT CHANGE THE WAY YOU ARE TOWARDS ME BECAUSE OF SUCH. MY WEDDING IS GOING TO TAKE PLACE REGARDLESS =

I have a really good friend that can't attend my wedding because her niece is getting christened that day and she is the godmother.

I haven't even sent out the invites yet and she pulled me aside and told me the news.

I thought it was really classy of her.

People can be weird. Don't worry about it!!

Same here. A lot of people have started acting really weird. Like I guess they think that if they rsvp NO then I'm going to be mad at them or something? Or maybe the excuse they're using is fake so they feel uncomfortable? I'm feeling like it could be a lot of things. But I've definitely noticed it happening too.

ppl are funny about weddings. I think they assume us brides are going to just flip out at any second. You don't want to come, fine. I'd rather u RSVP and say no, than to just not show up and I'd have to pay for ure ***!! Retards!

People are weird...especially at work. Just think, if you didn't work with these people, would you really be friends with them?

Don't take it personally. At least you're saving $$ and the people who really want to celebrate your day will be there.

this happened to us, but with DH's FAMILY!!! They were all excited to come, and we invited about 45 people of his family. Only 11 people from his side actually came, and about 7 were family.

People just like to feel important that they were invited I guess. They don't consider anything else.

I have been noticing the same thing with a few people here at work. Their behavior is absolutely bizarre. If you can't make it, my life is not going to be over, so stop acting like it!!!

Through the years you will notice that people do crazy things and act strange over the littlest thing. Don't take it personally because it is them and not you.....they feel guilty themselves about not joining you on your big day. As long as they RSVP to you then you should show no hard feelings towards them. They will probably get over their own gult in time.....you just continue to be yourself and go about your business with the others who are sharing your day.

Sorry you had to vent...I like that you give them a little too much credit....If the reasons you give are true, that's little. Maybe they don't go because they're cheap!I mean they have to buy a new outfit, then get a present, for some ppl that's just too much! At least they saved you money on less expenses.
Who knows?! Ppl are weird! I have a close friend that swore she was going to my wedding, no matter what...she's pregnant and due close to my wedding, will I expect her there, probably not, but I hope she tells me definitely b4 that day!
