I put mine in excel and had
column 1 column 2 column 3 column 4 title first name last name number of guests
mr bob dole 1 miss rachel green and guest 2 mr & mrs david beckham 2

Do a separate excel column for the last names so you can sort by it. I didn't do it at first (I put Mr. and Mrs. John Smith in one column and guest in the next) and had to go back and make a separate column and write in all the last names so I could sort...PITA!!
