When I was watching Bridget Jones 2 and as DH was commenting, 'She gained SO MUCH WEIGHT for this movie!,' thinking to myself defensively, 'She doesn't look that fat!!!!' Seriously, she wasn't THAT heavy in it and all the guys were saying oh, someone as heavy or overweight as you...

Re: When I really started to feel heavy...
It's ok this weekend I was at my mothers and she was telling me how she's on weight watchers and when she went to get weighed in and she couldn't believe how much she weighed. She was just shocked. How could someone who is only 5 feet tall weight that much. And I turn to her and say...'Alright enough I weigh more than you and you're making me depressed' she shut up immediately. Thanks mom for making me feel good...lol

EXACTLY! Because she probably started at 100, so at the end she was probably 5'6' and 120!!!!!!!!!

Exaxctly ... she is actually SCARY skinny normally, so with 20 pounds on her people thought she was fat (which she wasnt)
I actually think she looks sickly at her 'regular' weight.. a few extra pounds actually flatters her, IMO
The thing wiht her also is that she has kind of a pudgy face .. so I guess the added pounds make her face look chubbier, and bigger in the boobs.. but that isn't necessarily a bad thing!
That said , I agree that its amazing how an 'average looking' woman is considered FAT in Hollywood

I WISH I were 5'6' and 120 I'm not even close to that

I hated the constant 'packing on the pounds' articles and talk all over the media. I was like sure she packed on the pounds - Id KILL to look like that!

The average size of an American woman is a 14! In our society that is considered heavy. I'm a 14!!! Hey, I know I'm not thin, but come on. Renee Z was a size 14 for the movie.

I thought she would have even been less--maybe a size 10? But for all the fat comments and everything said in the movie about her I thought it was crazy!

Just a cheer me up...Marilyn Monroe usually averaged wearing a size 12 or 14 and she was considered one of the sexiest women ever.

Wish people would think about who they are tallking TO before they say things. We were guests at a friends wedding recently and sat down at the CH with some other guests that we didn't know and somehow this lady starts talking about how much weight she gained when she was pregnant with her son. Now, mind you she's like 50 or 60 years old and about 100 lbs. She's telling me how she was 160, OMG, can you believe and on and on. Hello I weigh that much without being pregnant. Meanwhile, I'm all dressed up with my make-up and hair done and I'm thinking I look pretty good that night til I sat for 20 minutes listening to this insensitive idiot! People are so rude!

Honestly, i don't think there is nothing wrong with having some meat and some curves. I love my body and the fact that I have some little curves. I think that Renne(sp) looked better in that movie than before.
