When is a good time to..........

So when is a good time to book your honeymoon?? I know it's early for me but when is best to do it?

if you're doing something really exotic or europe, i'd start booking a year out. if it's carribean, you can wait until about 6-8 months before. but like you said, you have PLENTY of time. you can always just start 'researching'. i used to stare at pics of Tahiti all day at work.

Wow, I thought I was planning early! If you're flying, you won't be able to book your flight till a year before at earliest. But it's never to soon to browse destinations.

9 months before or so. We are definitely waiting until winter in hopes of fuel prices/airfare going down!

We booked our HM in Jan. We wanted to do it before the gas prices went up.

Okay yea thinking about Tahiti, Bora Bora and Fiji.....i just have to double check to make sure the weather is good when we go in march ...but as far as i know its beautiful...and no typoons LOL i really cant wait ....the picutres are sooooo nice!!!

It hard to find pricing on hotels/flights any sooner that 1 year in advance, so anytime after that is fine

we booked our Honeymoon when the dates became available to book. The resort we are going to as amazing deals on Early Bird booking so we wanted to take advantage of it. We'll book our flights later on.

I was really thinking about just setting it up online..with help from my cousin ..she want there on her honeymoon and a travel agent was up there in price and she got better prices by doing it herself.....i just dont want to wait to late and not be able to get what we want

I plan to work on this over the summer, around my 1 yr mark and after my STD's are sent out.

we're already planning out exactly what we want, where we want to stay when we're going to travel, etc. so we can do tons of research and get the best pricing on everything!

we're using timeshare points so it was recommended by the timeshare people to book a year in advance we ended up booking 9 months in advance but like others have said flights arent out that early so we had to wait to book a flight

We waited for 11 months to book.. but keep in mind that some airlines and hotels don't open up the next year in their systems (especailly online) until at least a year before so you may have no choice.. that all depends on what hotel you are using though.
