Okie I have orded my dress and it should be in soon No I have not taken any pics yet becasue they wouldn't let me :( but I want to go for a fitting it is not even a year before my wedding but about a year and a half really so i was thinking mid summer i should go around second week of July ?
what are your thoughts???

I would say about 6 months start going for fitting. If you go now and they take something in and then 1 1/2 years is a long time cause you can lose weight or gain and you don't want them to keep taking in the dress and letting it out each time. So I would say first fitting after the 6 month mark. no sooner.

I would go when it comes it to see it and to make sure it fits you at this time. First fitting should be a few months before the wedding.

depends how much you need taken in or let out. you might go for your first fitting and it fit perfect and not need anymore. But if you do then you go back untill it's just right. I would say about 2-3 fittings.

And espically if you plan on loosing don't go for fittings now. just go look at it an dmaybe try it on. But don't have them do a fitting now. wait till about 3-4 months before.

yeah, wait....I haven't even bought my dress yet. I'm pretty sure I know what I want but I want to loose more weight before I order a dress, and have to alter it a few dress sizes.

its sooo bad when you want to lose weight and you 'bad friend' comes to town (if you catch my drift) and you want to eat every chocalte covered thing and you fee like you don't fit in ur skin ugh

I was told that they can only two two sizes up or two sizes down before the dress gets distorted/changed for fittings. I was in a shop where a girl lost a lot of pounds and her dress was staring to look funcy!

exactly, its too early regardless but especially if you plan to lose weight then def dont go now for fittings bc it will be pointless

I'm getting married this Oct and don't start my fittings til early Sept .. wait as long as possible .. its easier to take in then let out .. and if you gain at all you are screwed! don't rush on that

You shouldn't start your first fitting til about 2 months earliest before your wedding..
