We are getting married in 5 weeks and in between is Labor Day. We haven't even finished buying the BP gifts yet, let alone think about a rehersal dinner in any length. My FH wants to go away Labor Day (can you imagine???) and the week after is supposed to be my Bachelorette Party. What do you guys think is a good time to schedule the RD?
You can have the rehearsal dinner a day or two before the wedding.
If you are getting married in a church, most often the RD is 2 days before wedding. The RD follows the practice run at the church. You invite all BP, readers, gradparents, and out of town guest.
My wedding is Sat 9/20, my RD is Thurs 9/18.
I'm having mine the night before. I don't have much of a choice because most of the bridal party is from out of town.
I had mine two nights before. Some people do the night before. You can really do it anytime the week before I think. One of my friends had hers the weekend before.
I am getting married on 9/12 as well and I am actually having mine the week before...9/3/03. Since my ceremony is at the same location as the reception I can really have it whenever since the Church is not involved. My FH is also traveling for work Monday - Wednesday the week of the wedding so I wanted this to be taken care of early.
My church does all weekend wedding rehearsals on a Thursday. We had no choice except the times opened.
we're doing it the night before. i always thought that this was the way to do it. of course- it's up to the individual.
