When is it too late for engagement photos?

FH and I never got a chance to have our engagement photos taken this past fall and we are debating whether or not to have them taken at all. I keep seeing all of your lovely photos and it's making me sad that we never did ours! The wedding isn't until September 29th so I'm thinking it's still OK to get the photos done, right? I thought that maybe we could both take the day off of work on Valentine's day and have them taken.

Thoughts??

Thanks ladies! I will be sure to show this thread to my FH! It was FMIL that was giving us the most grief about not doing them right away!

As long as we're engaged we can still take engagement photos as some of you pointed out! That's what I was thinkin'!

LOL We haven't taken ours yet either and have been engaged since May '05! At first I didn't want to take them but like you, after seeing everyone else's I want to now! hummm maybe I can test out photographers for the wedding LOL

My wedding date is the same as yours and we haven't had ours taken yet. The original plan was to have my mom take them when we visited her in Texas over Christmas, but my camera confused her, hehe. Plus the park we went to was super crowded. So I think I'll arrange something in the next couple months...maybe when it's warmer and I've shed some of my winter flab. :)

You have lots of time. I got engaged a couple of months ago and booked a 2 hour photoshoot for engagement photos. We decided we are not taking them until the Spring. It is such a nice thing to have beautiful casual photos together.

My wedding is in June and I'm waiting until March/April to have them done

Waiting for warm weather so that we can do beachy things

We are getting married in July and taking them in May/June. My photographer takes them right before so that we can get used to him shooting us. We will have an engagement album as well as a large engagement picture on display at the wedding.

I'm taking mine in May or June and we're getting married in September..
I wanted to take the pics in the summer so it will be nicer outside, so we're waiting!!

you have plenty of time. Take them so you always have the 'before' pics.

You have plenty of time. I really wanted to take them in the fall but FH couldn't get off of work and then before we knew it, winter was here. I really want to get outdoor pictures without the trees being bare. I will probably wait until the summer or late spring.

were in the same boat... we never got a chance to take ours, were getting married in July and I plan on taking them by April the latest. It is in our package so y not get it? Plus we can interact with our photographer.
