I will be meeting with my reception hall caterers in a month to finalize the menu. I am thinking about adding a raw seafood bar and a dessert buffet as extras. Do you think I can ask for a discount for getting both? (I didn't negotiate anything for the price per head for the dinner when I signed the contract last year....)

Re: When is it too late to negotiate $$?
It doesn't hurt to ask, I don't know if being so close they would give you a discount for getting both. I just set my menu last weekend and I added a few things and they didn't charge me.

NEVER! Keep in mind that for a vendor it is usually easier to throw something in then to drop price. I negotiate as part of my job so this is something I really know and if Ican help with specifics FM me.
