well i been wondering when was the cheaps months to get married in. i want to have a good wedding but i my family does not have that much money to spend on me.

Your best bet - December - March or July & August is what I've found to be the least popular and cheaper.

I have heard that you get the best deals in the winter months but not right around the holidays. You can also do well if you book the next available date. I know someone who got a fantastic deal for a Sat night at Harrison House because she picked up a cancelation that was only 3 months away from the date she booked. She is proof that - Yes you can put a wonderful wedding together in 3 months and save a ton of money if you are flexible.

December bride here, and we were getting quoted pretty close if not the same as popular wedding months. I think it's because it usually doesn't snow too much in December and many people like to have holiday weddings.

I think Jan - March are your best options...

I just have to say...July and August aren't cheaper...since I am a teacher I wanted the wedding in one of these two months...they are the same prices as may, june, sep and oct...

When I tried to negotiate...they told me Jan-Mar

I was also told that planning a wedding 6 months in advance will increase your chances at getting a better rate as well.. the only thing is that this will work if you are flexible with the date..

from what I found it was cheaper btw Nov - March, and of course go for a Friday night or sunday instead of Saturday and that will bring your price down.

We ended up picking the end of March, just because of the price difference.

Jan-March is defintely a cheaper time of the month to get married. We chose a Fri night during President's week and it worked out great

Definetly jan/feb/march was alot cheaper, July and august were more than May and June and my hall.

I notice from your profile that you are 2004 bride. So am I. If you book everything now like we did, you get the price of now and next year or 2004. You can find very reasonable prices for a Saturday night at certain places if you book now and don't wit to long. Alot of places change their prices to 2003 prices in Sept.

Have you thought about having an afternoon reception? One hall quoted us $150 for Sat. night in July and $85 for Sat. afternoon.

January and February will be your best bets -- as everyone else is worried about snow.

The price at my reception hall dropped between $10-$15 a head from Jan-March

My hall was $10 cheaper pp before taxes and tip for Feb vs. June. Watermill is nice b/c they decorate the entire outside w/ white lights until March!

January to March are the cheapest from what I have seen when I was looking for a hall.

We paid $25 less per head at westbury manor by switching from april to jan. With almost 200 people, that was a nice chunk of change to put towards other things.

Typically the winter months. July and August are just as expensive as June and September.

You should check with the halls you are interested in. My FH and I were going to get married in February or March because a lot of places were cheaper. We decided to have our reception at Villa Lombardi's in May because the price was the same all year round. Good luck and happy hunting!

November of Thanksgiving - bargain!
