5-7 months before. I did mine 8 months before, but that's because I wanted to get it done before the holidays.

I think at least 6 months in advance. Some designers take longer than others. Plus you need time for alterations as well. I would say start looking even if its just to look and see what's out there.

I ordered mine 8 months before. Give yourself plenty of time just in case.

I ordered them 8 months in advance...keep in mind every bridal store is getting a ton of new dresses in january!!

happy 1 year!! At lilettes they said there are lots of new dresses coming in dec-feb so im gonna hold out.

The dress shop we ordered from suggested ordering by October for our April wedding, so give yourself 6 months before. I kind of feel like the earlier the better b/c depending on how many bm's you have, it make take some gentle nudging to have them all get their order/payments in. Give yourself time for bm's that aren't on the ball. Good luck picking them out!
