Hello brides! Do churches usually only have rehersals on specific nights? How far before your wedding did you have your rehersal if you are already married?

I think it depends on your church. I am aiming for having the rehearsal on a Thursday night for our Saturday wedding.

ours is on a sunday, and our wedding is the next friday. i hate it.
but it has to be.
our priest pushed that date, and people were ok with it.

We are getting married on a Sat- the priest said we could do the rehearsal on Wed or Fri night at 6PM- would have liked to have done it Thurs, but for some reason that was not an option. We are doing it Wed, because i felt it was too much to do it the night before the wedding.

Depends on the church. Our church was pretty lax and told us we could have it whenever we wanted it. We opted for the Wednesday night before our Friday wedding. HTH!

The church is letting us have our rehersal the wednesday before our wedding.
We're getting married on a Friday, and the day before is Thanksgiving, so that was out!

Thanks girls! I called the church- they don't have a set night so I guess we can do it whenever. My FILs are paying and they seem to want it a week before. I think this is too far away. I want some of my OOT guests there. My uncle is OOT and I want him to do a reading.

Thanks for this post, I'm trying to work this out too but having trouble getting in touch with the lady who books the rehearsals.. Hope my Church is like the laxed ones who let you have a rehearsal whenever! Trying to do it the Thursday before my Sat wedding.. I refuse to do it the night before!! lol

Our wedding was on Friday, April 23. We had our rehearsal on Saturday, April 10. We couldn't possibly have it during the week since everyone works & we are in Brooklyn, meanwhile the BM lived in LI, Queens & SI. We also didn't want it during the week because we had flower girls & ring boy. Its too much for them to do with homework & after school activities.
Our priest was very nice with giving us the day & time we wanted. Also we booked one month prior.

Our church offered it on Thursday and Fridays. I called 3 months in advance to book it because I wanted it on a Thursday!

we had our rehearsal the day before (thursday) our wedding. i think most churches should be able to accomodate a rehearsal on any date/day of the week...
