When it counts.

When it counts.

Yesterday I was sitting there and Alyssa said 'momma.' I heard it loud and clear. 30 seconds later she looked at my DH and said 'da.'
Now I know that she has no idea what she said or wonder if she will repeat it anytime again soon but that counts as her first words, doesn't it?
My DH said that it doesn't because she doesn't know what she said. I say it counts because it was loud and clear. Of course, I tried to get her to repeat it again but with no luck.

I would definitely say so!!

Funny you should mention that...Amber was all whiney and cranky the other night w/her tooties all in pain. She let out this big sigh after crying for awhile, put her head on my shoulder and clear as day said 'ma-ma'. She's said it before during crying fits but she said it clear as a bell and totally stand alone. Of course my husband didn't believe it and said it was a fluke. But to me, it was that one special moment
