When looking at an RH...

...what are somne of the better questions to ask? My FH and I are starting out search this weekend and I am trying to compile a list of standard, and even not so standard questions to ask. The places that we are going to have already given me some information over the phone, so I have a round about idea of the price range. But I want to make sure that I getting the most for my money and I don't know how good of a negotiator I am. If anyone can help with any advice/suggestios/questions, I would appreciate it!!!

When looking at RH's, we were honest when we liked a place and told them.. we love it.. but we also love (so and so)... and they worked with us in terms of our concerns or questions. We had no problems with any of our RH's being pushy.. except they said 'oh.. but you need to hurry, or we won't have that date.' Try to be open minded about the date. It'll help you make the best decision for the both of you.

Oh! And ask about their vendors. Do you need to have them or can you go outside of their vendors? How early can you arrive? How late will everything go? What will be taken care of by them? I guess all the usual questions too.

I would def tell them once you sit down what ur max is..dont give them a def # of ppl just yet b/c then they will make you guarantee that. We personally had to ask about wheelchair accessibility but idk if you do. We also asked what their policy is re: guests arriving early since it is inevitable that ppl will do that. Hmmmm...we also asked if we get charged less for kids, if vendors are free/1/2 off, if we can bring in outside caterers. They pretty much tell you all of this but some places may leave 1 or 2 out so you just realize and ask those RH's. HTH :D OH - and for extras i would DEF not be shy -- just say, we were really hoping for X and so and so (insert RH) offered it for X, can you make that work for us? ALSO - DEF ask if they provide a food tasting BEFORE booking as some do not! lol good luck and believe me u will be just fine!!!
