Is it ok to tell them you are checking out other's?
I feel weird about it and I have a meeting with one tomorrow but still want to see one or two others.
TIA
OK REPHRASED-
What I meant was if I am meeting with a preist for the first time I am afriad he is going to think 100% I am going or want to be getting married there when I know there is 1 or 2 more I want to see. How do I avoid that, or what do I do if this should happen?
Sorry the original post wasn't asked correctly.
Also neither FH or I have a parish. I am Lutheran he is Catholic and we will be getting married in a Catholic church.

Re: When meeting with a church?
I guess you could, but I'd only do it if it comes up. We mentioned to our priest that we were trying to decide between my church and Mike's church. He didn't give us any problems.

Re: When meeting with a church?
I don't think you should.
My church had serious problems and accussed us of treating them like a venue or a vendor. We asked them what days they had free within a certain time period and they flipped out at us saying that WE (FH and I) don't pick a date, THEY (church) tell us when they're free.
Just to be cautious, I wouldn't unless they ask you or it comes up.

I guess what I am afraid of is after meeting with the preist they are like 'Ok gotya down for the 27th of August now when do you wanna start pre-cana... without skipping a beat ya know?

Re: When meeting with a church?
My church put us in 'the book' for our date and made it sound like we were basically set in stone and then went into the whole precana preparation. Maybe you should explain that to them while you are making the appointment to meet with them so they don't lock you in and waste a bunch of time ya know?

You can tell them that you'll have to get back to them because you want to make sure the reception hall is free for that date.

He already knows the drama with the church we booked previously and have to find another so he knows we are booked at our RH already. Maybe I should just reschedule and go see them on my own before I meet with anyone.

I think if the priest already knows your situation, then no, it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Thats what happened when we were interviewing interfaith priests. He started filling out the paperwork on the first meeting! Its a good thing we really liked him!

I wouldn't. They are very sensitive. I switched churches and my priest kept asking if we were planning on staying.

I would not tell the church that you are looking at other churches, they really frown on that. They really want you to marry at your parish church.

I would only mention it if they bring it up. The church gets offended easily.
