When people who are 'no's' want to send gifts...

Do they usually send it in the RSVP envelope, or in a separate Wedding card?

I'm just curious because my RSVP card is a postcard, so they can't put anything 'in' it if they wanted to when they RSVP'd 'no'.

I was just wondering what people would usually do.

Thanks!

I only got one 'gift' with my RSVP card with a no. Anyone else who said no sent us something for our registry.

in the past, i've rsvp'd 'no' to a few weddings. i sent the card with the 'gift' close to the actual wedding day.

we got most of our gifts with the RSVP if that guest wasn't coming. We got a few in a card closer to, or after the wedding

We didn't have anyone put a gift in the RSVP card but we did have people put the RSVP card inside the gift envelope..and in one case we even had a thrifty person tape the RSVP envelope to the gift envelope to use our postage....guests will do what the feel is right regardless of if you give them a postcard or an enveloped RSVP....

When I responded no - I just sent back the RSVP and the week of the wedding I sent a card and gift.

huh..I never heard of that before. The few people that RSVPd no AND sent a gift did so seperately. Our RSVP date was a month before our wedding and gifts were sent right before or right after our wedding.

okay... good to know! Thank you!

My mom thinks I screwed myself out of getting gifts because of the postcard! lol!!

I'll happily report back to her these answers. If people want to send something, they won't let a postcard get in their way. If they don't send anything, they probably weren't going to if I had a regular envelope RSVP anyway.

Thanks, ladies!

2 put it in the RSVP card envelope, a few also sent gifts off the registry. But most sent a separate card.

Me too! I wouldn't send one in the RSVP card. I like to pick out a nice card for the couple and give them a gift that way.

Most sent me a wedding card with a check in it.

I usually send it with the rsvp. We got one check with the rsvp and another wedding card with the rsvp and a check.
