we went on friday ( with three months to go ) and they said it will take a few weeks so i would order no later than two months before but you can alway get it out of the way sooner!

We are getting ours at the same place FH got my ring. Other people we work with got their bands here too- and it took maybe a week. I guess it all depends what you want (how elaborate) and where you get them from. To be safe, I want to order ours 3 mos. ahead of time.

i put mine on layaway on thursday and the wedding is next oct. i guess you can do it whenever you want. doing it this far in advance helps me bc i can make small payments on it every other week instead of one really large one right b4 the wedding.
I think 2-3 months just to be on the safe side.
