When should I....

ask the BM at the RH is we pay in all cash that we not pay tax? We are going next wednesday to sign a contract and leave a dept. so I am wondering if it is better to ask in person when I am there and just bring cash just incase or if I should call on the phone and ask before we go?

Did anyone do this? What did you do?

Although most require that you pay the final payment in cash anyway. But hopefully that works out for you!

Where we are going to book will take creid card for at least the depost.

Some places let you pay cash and not tax bc if you pay in all cash they do not report the money they made

I think other vendors (DJ, florist, etc.) are more likely to do this than the RH, but I'd call and find out.

I think that you should ask them before you go, that way they think that you may still be on the fence and may walk away. If you ask once you're there with a contract in front of you they are more likely to deny this because they'll know they have got you anyways.
I hope this made sense.

We learned this when booking vendors. With one vendor we asked if we could get a deal if we pay them in all cash. We did this during the negotiating process and saved hundreds of dollars. With another vendor we asked the same question, but the contract was already in front of us and the manager knew we wouldn't walk away, so he denied us a better deal.
