I have a lot of time until my wedding and my RH is booked as of last month but now I am wondering how far in advance did you ladies book the DJ, Photographer, Videographer, Florist? Just want to know which direction to go next.. Thanks in advance

Yay for the Watermill!!! I think you could probably wait a good 6 months.... i guess it wouldn't hurt to call places and ask though.

I booked my RH in August - Photographer (since he does one wedding a day) in September and the same with the florist.

I think you can start researching....but you have alot of time...I say 6 months to 1 year. We started planning before we where technically engaged Started planning in march...engaged with a ring in april....and by the end of may we had all of our major vendors.

I think it might be too early to do these things now but I will say that the added benefit to booking these earlier rather than later is to avoid annual price increases.

I just booked my florist and im booking all the other vendors very soon...its really not too early to book

If you know what you want book now
I book most of my stuff way early and now a lot of prices went up and I an still locked in at the cheaper prices.

you deff have some time but I had a long engagement too. Im getting married in 2012 but had my hall and photographer booked by the end of 2010 bc those were most important.
Booked my band/flowers by early 2011 and just ordred my dress this past March. We just have limos and BMs dresses to confirm by early summer.

It's never too early to book! We booked most of our vendors 2 years in advance. Our photography company we used already had 3 of their photographers booked for our day (and it was OVER two years before the wedding!)

I would definitely take your time and research a lot on the vendors you are interested in. At around the year mark (or little before for high demand vendors), I would start to book. We booked all our major vendors around the year mark (exception of RH which was around a year and half mark).

I agree with the girls... you should take your time researching thoroughly who you want your vendors to be. The up side to booking so far in advance is that you will have a longer amount of time to make payments on it all.

We booked our RH, Photographer & Videographer in Feb & booked our DJ in March. We knew they were the vendors for us and they already had dates booked for sept 2012 so we wanted to make sure we got them.

I booked exactly 1 year to my wedding..And it was more than enough time...or maybe i got lucky...I booked everything in September of 2010 but was researching since last July

I would start to do research and maybe meet with some potential vendors to see which one you like the best. If you find someone that you love or absolutely have to have, I think it's never too early to book to ensure that you have them for your special day!
