When should I buy my shoes?

Should I wait until after the first fitting so I have a swatch of my actual dress or do I need to have it before my first fitting??

The advice I got was to get them for your first dance lesson -- to break them in and to get used to dancing in them esp. if they are a heel height you are not used to.

ok-- that brings another question.. I meant to post thins too and you just reminded me.. when should we start dancing lessons?? We were at a wedding this weekend-- and FH really needs it

Depends on how complicated you are gonna get. We are having a swing band hence need major help. Keep in mind this:
The sooner you start the more you will need to practice with each other, if this is not realistic then consider going closer but plan at least one per week for 5-7 weeks.
