When should I meet with my RH to make menu changes?? with poll

I want to make a couple of changes to my menu...i've been considering replaicing the open bar with a viennese hour and requesting special hors d'oerves like pigs in a blanket, etc.. I also want to ask them about having chair covers thrown in, my bm told me it wouldn't be a problem but I just want to make sure...when do you think I should go in to meet with my BM...do you think I should wait until i'm closer to my wedding date or should I do it asap to give them a chance to take note of all of the things that I want?

Okay this is where it get's tricky, they do drink, but they don't drink in excess....so some of them would probably frown upon having open bar...what would make it worse is if one of the guests that aren't religious gets drunk and acts crazy....aaarghhh, i'm so confused

Ok so if someone is not tolerant to alcohol and they see an open bar they may go wild, lol. Why dont you try to have an open bar for like an hour or 2 or just at your CH and then if people do drink they can just dance it off and eat alot?

that's definitely an option, everything really depends on what my RH is willing to do...heck, we might just end up having open bar and whoever has a problem with it will have to deal with it..but I guess it would be smart to see them asap so I know what I have to work with..

Yeah sweetie, dont drive yourself crazy, do what feels right to you and FH, Leonards is good with that, my nephew had his baptism there and they were able to accomodate my sisters needs so def ask. Open bar is def a good thing

well thats hard then, i understand they frown upon excess drinking but do they prefer paying for their own drinks?

maybe you can just keep it simple to wine and beer....or even jsut have bottles of wine at the tables and that's it....

JMO if I went to a wedding and there was no booze I would start pulling $$ out of the envelope....LOL jk..but not really

Idk- I'm a ginzo....we go for food and free liquor....I wouldn't give a SHIIIIT about the chair I was sitting on...it could be plastic for all I care....as long as I almost fall out of it I'm golden

Seriously though...I completely understand about you not wanting people to act crazy but I would def try to negotiate better if you really want the vienese...you're probably going to just have to pay a little extra....if you do that they may throw in the chair covers too....dosen't hurt to ask....
