When should I order my invitations?

When should I order my invitations?

I know you probably told me this before but I can't remember. Please tell me when to order them. My wedding is in 11 months.

Also, is it always necessary to do save the dates? If so, when do I send them out?

if you have a lot of out of town guests than i would do save the dates so they can plan how they want to travel..............your invitations should be ordered about january of next year--start looking though! you never know how long it might take!

I ordered mine late and rushed to send them out. But I did send STD cards. I would order them at least 4 months before the wedding.

I ordered mine from Renaissance Writings and they came in under 2 weeks, and were so pretty! renaissance writings

I ordered mine 6 months prior but it only took one week for them to come in. I was very nervous about having them at home with me...so afraid they'd get damaged. Find out how long they take to come in and base your order date on that.

We just ordered ours Monday afternoon, our wedding is March 28th,2004. The lady in the store told us to store them in a cool place, like a linen closet, and put some white tissue paper in the box, and it will be fine. I also paid 7.50 for piece of mind of a proof to look at before the final order went in.
