I've really tried to be organized with all the planning but one thing I cant figure out is when I should register. My shower (Im told) will be a total surpirse and people have suggested registering before the holidays in case someone wants to buy something for Xmas When should I register? Is it ever really too early?

Putting some things on there for Christmas is a great idea. It's never too early, but some things you pick could be seasonal (even if they don't scream holiday/season) or be discontinued so just make sure you update it a few months before the weddings so it's complete before your shower.

I registered in August and my shower probably won't be until January. My BM's kept bothering me about registering for (a surprise) shower so we went and finished it up early. That way, you get it out of the way and do all the other stuff. Plus it's so much fun when they give you that gun and you go scanning away. My FH went trigger happy with the gun, lol.

we registered like 2 weeks after we got engaged. it was just easier for us to do it sooner rather than later.

I registered in September and now I am getting engagment gifts even though I have been engaged since Feb. My mom told me that all of her firends have been waiting for me to register so they could get me something I wanted... So I say the sooner the better!

I'm waiting to register only because 2 of my friends that registered early had many items discontinued come their showers. So I am going to wait till February/ March to register.

It's never too early to register. People who hear that your engaged may want to send you something! My family registry shopped for me at Christmas & my birthday so it was nice to get things that we really wanted! And dont feel bad about picking things that seem a little pricey. Some people will chip in together and get you some of your big stuff! The registry was the most fun!! Enjoy it!
