When should I send out my invites?

Hi girls, my wedding is September 29th.

I haven't yet received my invitation sample yet and I still have to complete the address lists and inserts with Pippy's Sweets. I'm just wondering what kind of time frame I should be shooting for? I want to make sure I have enough time to get everything done.

I was thinking sending them out mid to late July?

I sent mine out exactly one month to the day, some brides did two months before. The lady that was doing my invites told me to do one month. HTH

I would send them out one month prior to your response date. Which is usually about one month prior to your wedding date. Also, if you are having an A and B list, then add 2 weeks.

My invites:

Wedding date: 9/14/07
Response date: 8/7/07 [cuz that's my birthday!]
Mail date: Around 7/7/07 [I figure it is a lucky day!]

i am 1 week after you, and i am sending out my invites july 23rd, but i'm doing it a bit early, because i didn't send out STDs.

Your supposed to send them out 8 weeks before the wedding date. So that would be August 4th. So I would send them out around August 1st or 2nd so everyone gets them by the 4th.

I didn't order mine yet! Waiting to see if we will be in our new house in time to receive the responses! It's killing me to wait! I want my calligraphy to be hand done!!

I sent mine 1 1/2 before the wedding. It gave everyone enough time and I got all the RSVPs back

My wedding is August 31st..
hoping to send mine out the weekend of June 16th with an RSVP of Juky 21st

Hey date twin, looks like you are on schedule. I am sending mine out on 7/16 and my rsvp date is 8/24. I am sending mine out a bit early because we have alot of OOTers.

I sent mine out a bit before 2 months & gave them 1.5 mo before the wedding to RSVP. This gives me more time for placecards, favors, etc.

I think whenever you are ready to get REALLY REALLY STRESSED

I have not been more stressed out and nuts the entire time I have been engaged since I sent them out. Nobody wants to respond. My response date is in 2 days and I'm waiting on 59 response cards. I got 3 today, 3!!!

Seriously though, maybe I would wait utnil early august. From my experience, I think the more time you give people, the more they think they can put it off and forget about it (not intentionally, of course) I was so excited and could not wait to get them out, but now I am starting to think I should have gave people less time to respond. I think I sent mine out early May (1st week).

My wedding is in September. The 21st and my rsvp: is August 21st, so I think I am going to send them out by the beginning of July. To give them a little more time to responsd because i have OOT's and they only have a certain amount of time to reserve rooms.
