just wondering. when should I send out save the date magnets? my wedding is april 18th 2008.

If its not a holiday (i am not sure because easter goes all over the place lately) and you don't have people who travel very often then I would say around 6-8 months in advance. If you have people who travel for a living, TONS of out of state people and/or holiday weeken then 8-12 months in advance.
I just sent mine out the 17th and my wedding is March 16th 2008 but i did a combo announcement of engagement & std w/ hotel info. My wedding falls on palm sunday and we have people who travel for a living.

easter is in March next year. we made sure of that otherwise flights for half my family would have been way expensive. most of my family doesn't live in ny so we'll probably be sending them soon. probably in 2 months.

we handed ours out at our engagment party on 7.1.06. & the wedding is on 7.13.07

My wedding is in Sept. and I def. sent mine out too early...the Sept. before!! (it was Pre-LIW so I didn't have a clue!) Now I feel like these people are prob. sick of seeing our pic on their fridge!!! Anyway...i would say about 8 months before. Then you have a better idea of your guest list too!

i sent mine last week for my 9/15/07 wedding ...but i only got engaged this past january and picked the date in feb

We sent ours out right after New Year's for our August wedding. We were waiting until after the rush of Christmas cards, though, so nothing got lost in the shuffle.
