I want to start dress shopping this fall, probably around November. Should I start making appts now or wait a lil longer?

depending on where you want to go and what day of the week, i think you will be fine waiting till closer to the actual day of.
i got my dress at bridal reflections in massapequa-- i literally made the appointment 2 days beforehand (granted i went on a monday)

Thanks ladies. I think I am def going to go on a wk day. Less crazy. Plus I want to try RK Bridal in the city. They don't do appts so I was going to go 1st thing in the morn. I also want to go to Klienfelds and since they are so popular I was wondering if they book up quick. I think I eill def wait a while longer though.

For RK Bridal you def want to go during a weekday. I went last week Saturday to look for BM dresses. I went early around the time they opened. The wait wasn't too long but there was a long wait to try on wedding gowns.

for a weekend or known trunk show, at least 203 weeks ahead of time because thats when things are craziest...during the week appts, probably can be make 1-2 weeks beforehand if not sooner...

I think Nov is a great time. This will allow you time to shop around. Depending on the place & designer it could take up to 7-9 months to get your dress

Kleinfeld's allows you to make appointments online, so you can just look and see when they have open appointments!

I would start actually soon, only because november and December is holiday month and it's very hard to fit in time.I know there is a month were the bridal salon's take off for a week. It's either December or January.

Kleinfelds books up on the weekends very quickly! Right now there next weekend appointment is in October, so if you want to go shopping on a weekend in November, I'd book it soon!

you can check availablity online for Kleinfeld's, when i went it was in sept and i waited til mid aug to make the appt and was shocked how it was already all booked up.
IMO its never to early to make an appt. at least you know its all set and one less thing to worry about. if you wanna go into the city i would just make the appt's now, more local little spots you dont have to rush as much
