start our registries? Our wedding is in August. I wasn't sure when it was customary to do this. TIA :)

its never too early! i got engaged Feb 2010, registered in April and got a few gifts immediately (not many but maybe 5 or 6). The disadvantage is the earlier the register the more you need to keep checking your registry for discontinued items but the advantage is you can keep adding. as days go on and as you go places you realize oh i want that...and then you can add it.
