I was not so big on having a bridal shower but my girls aren't having it. My thing is my FH and I have been living together for almost two years and I just feel a little awkward registering for things. My FH has noooooooooooooo problem but I do. As a matter of fact he wants to register for a a margarita maker- Lol -don't ask. Maybe it's just me.

Some people register before the engagement party. I'm going to try to register in the next week or 2 at most. I know my shower is over the summer sui I need to bust a move!!! I plan on registering at either bbb, target or walmart abd then I'm going to do a honeymoon registry with Melissa from.trip guy!! Maybe think about doing that so u don't get silly things u don't need!

I just feel like what I would be registering for is more like for the house. It's not a housewarming party its a bridal shower. Then I start thinking about it, 'Well I do not need some new pots.' And the FH is like, 'Now you're talking!!! And a margarita maker will go perfect for when we have company over.' lol

When should you go for your registry?
I registered around the summer when we got engaged. I am actually just fixing my registry as we speak.
My MOH was the exact same way you are. She really didn't want to have a bridal shower but her mom wanted her to. So I had a tea party as her bridal shower. She also didn't want to registry for anything bc they were living together for about 3 years at that time and had everything they really wanted so on the invite I wrote 'in stead of gifts the couple would just like donations put towards their dream honeymoon'.

FH and I would love the Yankee dartboard as we are die hard fans. Hahahahaha However I think we would definitely get more use out of the margarita maker. I guess thinking about it now maybe its not so bad. My FH's cousin is getting married in September and she registered at 4 places. FH and I thought 2 places is more than enough.

I feel like most people register between 10-8 months out (unless you do an engagement party registry). You don't want to go too soon because things can become discontinued. FH & I don't live together yet so we had a lot of fun scanning everything we need and might want. If you feel a little weird about registering right now since you have a lot of things already just think of it this way...it's your time to upgrade and replace anything that is worn out lol!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! My Matron of Honor said the same thing. We had her and her husband over not too long ago for dinner and I mentioned something about the pot I was using for cooking. Her reply was, 'And you said you don't know what to put on your registry. A new pot!!!!'

When should you go for your registry?
After we got engaged my mother got on me to register. We registered in January and registered at 2 different places. We have been living together too, but we were told to register for upgrades. So upgrade your knives, your bowls, appliances, etc... Have fun with it. Think of it as an investment. Enjoy! The bed bath and beyond in NYC on 1st and 61st was amazing. Pedro helped us and he knew everything :)

When should you go for your registry?
I just added a margarita maker to my list!! haha I don't really have time to go to the store to make a registry so I've slowly been adding things online. You can make it all there. We've been living together for awhile too so we don't need much, but like others said I'm going to update to nicer things lol

Register for things you guys would love to have but can't necessarily afford, IE china, luggage, crystal. Macys and bed Beth &beyond are good choices. Plus using the little gun thing is fun..beep beep. Lol

When should you go for your registry?
Our wedding is November 2015, so we wil probably register around Feb-March (or at least start to). We've lived together for several years so we have a lot of stuff, but we are going to be registering for things which we want for long term (IE: to put in a house) we are okay with storing things for a little while before using them

When should you go for your registry?
You can register for obscure things if you don't feel like you need the basics (like a margarita maker lol) and you could also do a honeymoon registry and have people buy you excursions.

When should you go for your registry?
2014 crasher! I registered in December because I just couldn't wait! FH and I live together, but there were some things that we def needed to replace, so we registered for those items such as dishes, silverware, towels etc. We kept to to items that we need so it's not a super long registry.
