When the dr listened for the baby's heartbeat.....

did he also do a sonogram? I think we may get to hear the heartbeat at my appt later.
I am hoping they will also do a sonogram.

We saw the heartbeat at our 9 weeks u/s and I didn't hear it for weeks after that. I don't remember which week it was but it is not as easy to hear as it is to see.

I had a 9 week sonogram and a 20 week sonogram- I think those are pretty standard. I have also had 2 others but only because of the GD. I think normally I would have had one at around week 34ish.

They listen to the heartbeat every time you go....

I was hoping to get another one this time. Oh well. I had one at 7 weeks and got to see the heartbeat. I guess I have to wait until I am 20 weeks. That seems to be when they do the next one.

I had a sono at 7 wks. and the next one at 20 wks. This is standard at our dr. (I think we use the same group) unless you have a problem. You can start to hear the heartbeat between 9-16 weeks, depending on a few factors like weight, position of baby, etc.

I had a sonogram at 9wks, 12 wks, 19 wks and 23 wks...

The 2nd was for dating purposes and the last one was because I have a low-lying placenta... They'll do more if they see a potential problem...

I had a sono at 6 weeks and could see the heartbeat already - it looked like a flashing curser on the screen. I go again for a 9 week sono this week, but I doubt I'll hear it. But just seeig it will be heaven!
