when to book florist

when to book florist

Hey! It's been a while since I posted. I took a break for a while.

Is it too early for me to book a florist? My wedding is September of 2004. Also, do they want a deposit when you do? if so, how much?

I would say you don't HAVE to book right now, but it doesn't hurt. I booked my florist in January for my June wedding - 1 -1/2 years in advance. Only had to put $50 down.

Thanks! It might be a good idea to just go look for the florist, it's not like I am picking what I want yet or anything.

i booked mine a little less than 2 years in advance-only because I knew i wanted to use them and they only wanted a $50 deposit so why not? It's one less thing to think about--mike (burtons) was so nice & told me to come back this Fall to get ideas for next! wooooooohooooooo!

I am going to speak to the florist that I want to use in July (getting married next Sept). I just want to get an idea of what my flowers are going to cost me and if I need to leave a deposit. It does not hurt to just talk to them now.

Great advice, girls, thanks! I am going to go soon then. Is Burtons on the intersection on RT110 in Melville?

Hi Snowboardgirl,
My wedding is also in September of 2004 and I booked my florist a couple of weeks ago. You certainly have time if you want to wait, but it is not too early if you want to book now. I like booking early to make sure I get my pick of whoever I want. I never want to hear 'Sorry, we are booked on your date!'
