When to book hair/makeup trials

I was just curious to know when is the approximate time i should start contacting hair and makeup vendors regarding booking a trial for my wedding date? My wedding is not until June 2010 but i know that there are some popular vendors on here that book up quickly (ex- M*I*A and Jenn/Oksana)..

I don't know if i would be able to go to a salon because my ceremony is at 10:30am so i would need to get ready rather early, so i think someone coming to me would be the best route.

with the make-up I did my trial when I had a special event to attend- I was able to see how it held up and it really helped me decide. gl

the sooner the better, but only bc there have been quite a few girls who really wanted a particular hair and make up artist and when they contacted them they were already booked. Ive seen girls who tried contacting someone a year ahead of time and even sooner than that and they said they were booked.

I booked make up in june of 07 for my may 08 wedding and hair in august of 07
