My wedding is 15 months away. Is it too soon to start hair trials? I don't plan on dress shopping for a few months so I have no idea what kind of neckline I'll have and that will probably have an impact on what kind of hairstyle I get. I don't want these hairstylists to think I'm ridiculous if I contact them so soon, but I don't want to have a hard time finding someone available if I wait too long. Any advice?

Re: When to book hair/makeup trials
That's a good question - my wedding is in October 2011 and I haven't even begun to think about trials. I wasn't going to start for a few months but I know some girls do it well in advance. I'd say you have some time to work with...

Re: When to book hair/makeup trials
I would wait until you at least know what your dress looks like since that obviously plays a huge part in how you wear your hair, but don't wait toooo long....I am in October 2011 and SOOO many of the girls I wanted for hair/makeup are already booked. Luckily there are still a few available that have great reviews, but I probably should have started a little sooner.

Re: When to book hair/makeup trials
I booked my makeup person a year in advance because she is a very popular vendor on here. I had her do my epics makeup then. I did a wedding trial about a month before my wedding.
As for hair, I didn't do my trial until a week before my wedding (I already knew the hair person I was using)

Re: When to book hair/makeup trials
I'm doing a makeup trial in March for a Feb 2012 wedding. It might be too early but I want to make sure I get who I want.
