How soon should I start doing hair & makeup trials so I can book someone? I don't want to wait until it's too late but I feel like its sooo early!

Well, let me tell you this....my wedding is 11 months away, and I have called a TON of people and they were ALL booked! So I say the earlier the better. I still don't have anyone!

I am having major issues with this!!! Start now.
Mine is 11 months too, but I don't know what i will do with my hair until i have my dress. ahhh!!! Oksana was booked, and a few others would not see me until 6 months before. Most are entirely out of my price range. This has proven itself to be a very frustrating aspect of planning for me, and I may have to actually travel to the salon (like in the olden days ) to get my hair and makeup done.
Sigh. The things we brides put up with!

My FSIL's SIL (did that make sense?) does hair and told me that she would do mine for my wedding and come to me, but you know when you just get a feeling like something may go wrong by using someone so close? That's how I feel! But all the other people I've called don't want to travel out to me. I live on the North Fork

I agree with all the girls that the soon the better. I booked my makeup artist 14 months before my wedding. I am using Denise from Angel Eyes. She is so wonderful to work with. I booked my hair stylist 7 months before my wedding only because I am using my mom's friend.

That's exactly how I feel about my current stylist! He's a former roommate & his work is amazing. He does major events like Fashion Week & award shows. He's Whoppie Goldbergs personal stylis (did her slim fast adds - not that I want dreads! ). I'm afraid to use him though becuase he has such a hectic schedule & I want him to enjoy the wedding not work. But I dont want to offend him either...ughhh!
