I haven't even started dress shopping yet and I'm almost at my year mark.... I really wanted to wait a little longer because I am trying to lose weight. I'm afraid that I wont be able to even fake fitting into the trial dresses. When is the latest I should start looking? Should I start now?

I would definitely start browsing soon... some dresses take some time to come in.

the latest you should look is 9-10 months before.. i just went to bridal reflections for my sisters fitting for another wedding she is in.. and they said that new styles come out in aug/ sept.. so thats what im waiting for...
if i were you.. you should atleast try on now.. so that you can weed out what you def dont want.. if you know what you want.. then wait..

I didn't think I'd be able to get into any of the samples either, but I was amazed at how good of an idea you could get with a dress even if the back wasn't zipped closed!
I would go soon - at least to get an idea of what you like, don't like etc. And who knows, you might find THE dress right away!

i have a year and some change and I have ordered my dress already I fell in love at first site had to get it .... i tried on alot but i fell in love

I just made an appt with a bridal salon and I was telling her that I wasn't sure if I was looking too early and she said NO it was not too early and that some dresses take up to a year to come in. She said it takes some time to shop around, so you need to include that time in as well.

yea u gotta add shop around time, but alot of dresses i like take 8-10 months to come in. that is a long time. u dont want to have ur dress come in, like 2 weeks before the wedding
I want to have my dress ordered by May. that way it gives me enought time i hope

Melissa I would definitely start looking now. Do you at least have an idea of what you might want to get? I know some designers take at least 9 months to come in.

Most shops told me that dresses take 6-8 months to come in and you need about 2 months for fittings.
