So, I'm kind of new to this site, but have been looking at alot of what you girls are saying and you really know what you're talking about.
We're getting married next May, should I be looking for a dress already? I want to, but don't want to buy something now and then in 6 months see something that I like even more. Not sure what to do. Also the BMs keep asking when we're going to get their dresses, but I think i should get mine first?

Keep in mind every designer is diff. some take 6 months others 8. My friend ordered her dress in July for a April weddings. She got it in about 3 weeks before the wedding. I am ordering mine about 12 months before. The place I am getting my dress told me the Maggie dress take about 8 months if not more she takes awhile so watch out about that. Better alittle early then late!
that's true. i was told different amount of times for different gowns and also from different shops that i went to. it depends a lot on the designer!

i bought mine about a year before..so it doesn't hurt to start looking...it will give you plenty of time to find something!! you should order by 8 months

I'm getting married 2 weeks before you and I just got my dress this past weekend. I'm sure you have time. I just loved the dress!!!

i ordered my dress about 2 months ago - and im getting married next april - when you find 'your' dress you just know - and believe you me you wont want to try on any other dresses because you have already found yours - i just knew the moment i put my dress on - and i havent had the desire to pick up a bridal magazine since. Good Luck
