I was just on the 08 brides board and it seems that most, if not all, have their rings already! I have not even begun thinking about that! I know FH wants to get them where he got my e-ring in the city which is fine with me. I thought it was something I could wait til a couple of months before? Maybe I am totally clueless? LOL!

We ordered ours from Fortunoff 4 months in advance!! It was plenty of time and thats with mine being customized to match my e-ring perfectly! You honestly don't need to be thinking of that just yet!

I would think 6 months is a good time frame...in your case, I'd wait until mid-march .... you don't want the jacked up Valentine's Day pricing!

We ordered ours about 2 months prior to the wedding and didnt go in to have them sized, etc. until the week before. Some know exactly what they want, others wait so that they are POSITIVE they know what they want

we ordered ours in May (we got married Sept) we wanted to go early DH has his own company on the side so he gets busy in the summer season...so wanted to make sure that was taken care of!

We ordered ours the month before. And they had to be made for us because the one we bought was shown in plat and we got them in white gold. I also have a dia plat band and I got that made the month before also. I work inthe dia. district so I knew that it wouldn't take long for what I wanted and the people I worked with knew me and when my wedding was so they knew they had to get my rings done!
You can wait until about 2 months before. That's plenty of time!

I think it all depends on what you want---I am having mine custom made--so I know I have to order it a few months ahead---but you can always go to the store and look and ask them to see how long it would take for your ring to come in

WAIT!!! The price of gold is HIGH right now!!! IF you can...wait until the spring. I got mine because if I waited any longer it would have been more. You can shop, but just don't buy yet. Your going to end up spending hundreds of dollars more than you need to!

We had looked around for a few months before the wedding and hadn't found anything we liked. We ended up going about a month and a half before the wedding and ordering custom rings. We got them one month before the wedding. Seriously, that's enough time! You can go beforehand if you want, but don't feel like you HAVE to.

i think we are going to go to our jeweler soon to get an idea of how much its going to cost for my custom wedding band.....we need to know how it fits into our budget.....this way we know how much more or less we can spend in other areas - the ring is important to me and i want all the bling i can get

I already got mine but I wasn't planning on it. I was just looking and I found one that fit with my e-ring perfectly and it was on sale for that one weekend so I just bought it and it stays at my moms house till that day

FH spoke with the jeweler who did did my e-ring and he told him to pick out our rings around August/September....
The Jeweler already has an idea on what he will do with my wedding band since he did my e-ring.... and FH basically gave him an idea on what he is looking for as well

We got ours at the beginning of October, that was two months before. I've seen people in the jewelry store buying them a week before!
