When to call florist

Hi, how far in advance do you have to meet with the florist?

It all depends on when you want to have things booked by. I booked my florist in April and i'm getting married in 2010

I called for an appt about 10 mos before the wedding date.

i booked mine 18months ahead, i wanted to lock in the 2008 prices...plus when i called around a few florists were already booked and they only do one wedding a day, so that kind of scaried me

I booked my florist last month and Im getting married in June.
I would say the earlier the better, but they usually can do more than 1 wedding per day.

I didn't do mine far in advance at all! lol. I went there only 2, maybe 3 months before. And then I just went last week to confirm and my deposit is due a week or two before. BUT that's probably because I'm not using them for Centerpieces, just bouquets and boutonnieres and such. So it's pretty simple stuff

I was a slacker. I called in July for my September wedding. I went to Burton's and they were very flexible and super reasonable.

I booked mine in October - 2 years before. Just wanted to get it out of the way. And my florist only does 2 weddings a day and already had 1 booked for that day.

I think you should call as soon as possible so you can shop around , find one you really like and lock in a price...you dont want to wait too long because they might not be available on your date...
