Normally I would say to wait until after the wedding but since your wedding is still 2 months away, I would cash it before. I would think about 2-3 weeks after you received it would be OK.

I would do it now... Some people got annoyed because I waited over a month to cash a check (Just busy... don't go to the bank often)

We did our best to cash our checks within the week after receiving them in order to avoid aggravating people!
