when is a good time to go bridesmaid shopping if i am getting married in august of 2007 is jan too late?

i don't think so... it'd be better prob for your BP to wait til after the holidays... and i think 8 months is plenty of time

I just got my bm dresses...they said it takes about 3 months. I would say that 4-6 months before is good.

I ordered mine four months before and they came in with plenty of time, no extra charges.

You sound like you are very anxious - go looking - its a lot of fun - just, if you really like something now, and wait to order it, it might be out of stock or out of season. Also, its good to looking for prices, and then check out netbride.com, they will give you a price quote - i ordered my dresses through them, the price was a lot cheaper than any store.

we were told we need 12 weeks for the dress .. I found the BM dresses so I figure on having them order the 1st week of March

My wedding isnt until 11/30/07. Im thinking of seriously looking in like February. That gives us 9 months to find something.
