Just posted on the BHB board and someone suggested I post on here as well. When is a good time to order BM dresses for an August 2010 wedding? I found one that I LOVE but am starting to worry it's too soon.

i think 8-6 months should be ok but i might be wrong! sorry i am no help!
My wedding is in Feb and I am going to have the girls order them by the end of may through david's bridal. I think that should be plenty of time...

We are ordering in the end of August begining of September. I wanted to wait until Novemeber, but my schedule (and everyone elses) for the months that follow September is already so cramped with events!! I wanted to give them enough time to find shoes, underwear, and to save some money.

im getting married jan 2010 and we picked out my bm dresses, but the girls won't go in to order/fit until June. 7 months before for me. Id look around the year mark and then u know what you want

We picked out the dresses already, the shop isn't ordering them until May and they should be in by October

im getting married in march and the shop isn't ordering my dresses until the end of june. they said it takes about 3-4 months to come in

I wouldn't order them now. it's WAY to early mainly cuz you don't know if people are going to be the same measurements a year + from now.

I am going to start looking for my dresses around the same time i find my gown...Then probably order them about 8 months before (My girls and i are very OCD when it comes to getting things done right away...)

i picked out the dress already & will be ordering in June for an April 2010 wedding. i rather have the dresses sitting in the store for a couple of months then have to worry about rush delivery. we wont start alterations until a month before the wedding.

I am really early as well. I am getting married in July. I have found the dresses I want at David's Bridal. My sister works there and she said that those dresses will be discontinued in the Fall, so I want the girls to order the dresses now. Also, my sister will purchase the dresses for everyone at a discounted price and she is leaving for college in August so we are going to order the dresses in the beginning of July.
We are having our engagment party in the beginning of July so this will be the only time that the whole bridal party will be together to order the dresses from my sister.
Of course, the girls will not have the dresses fitted or even get measurements, but we will be ordering them.
I think you have to think about the different factors that play into your bridal party as well as the dress.

Im getting married in January...and I still havent gone! I need to do this within the next couple of months...but to be honest im not in any kind of rush

i would do it 10-8 months before
my wedding is end of march and we are going end of may beginning of june
