When to order Bridesmaids dresses

MY wedding is in June and we still haven't ordered BM dresses. Some places say we can wait till January, others say we need to order now! I have them picked out but am waiting in one of my BM to come home and get fitted and she won't be able to do that for 3 weeks. Is anyone in the same predicament?

The dresses will be from Paradise bridal and are Bill Levkoff

Waiting til January shouldn't be a problem...but I wouldn't go much passed that. My BM dresses took close to 4 months to come in and I was starting to freak a little bit. They came in 2 weeks before the wedding

Im getting married in May and I havent ordered mine yet. They say to give at least 16 weeks (aka 4 months). You should be fine with January! I need to get cracking!

We ordered in late February for my July wedding. OMG how is that almost 2 years ago now??? Sorry, I'm having a moment here.

I was told December. I need to get on that! We haven't picked them yet. I can't get everyone together to go at once, so it's taking FOREVER! Was supposed to go with my cousin today but I'm sick. Oh, and MOH is ***, but she has a newborn so it's okay, I'll get a hold of her eventually.
Have a seamstress take her measurements wherever she is, then have her call them in to order. There is no need to do it in person. I have one BM out of state so that's what she will have to do. No way around it.

We ordered out BM dresses at the end of October for our May wedding. I believe the store said the dresses should arrive around 2 months before the wedding.

I ordered my bridesmaid dresses in july for december. They came in the the beginning of october. The brand I used was bill levkoff

My wedding is in June and I ordered my bridesmaid dresses in September. I think it depends on what designer you pick. We ordered Jim Hjelm and was told to give that designer at LEAST 6 months, but preferably 8.

I called up bridal reflections in Massapequa today cause 2 of my bms still have not paid for their dresses. I was told that if they are not paid and ordered by Jan 1. they will not be in on time for the wedding.
