Is there an appropriate time to register? My fiance thinks it is too soon (wedding in April). My sister (MOH) has asked me to. Is it too early? Is there such a thing as too early?
not sure if there is a rule - but i'm getting married NEXT october and people are already asking me where i'm registered.
me and my FH registered in June06 and we are getting married in May 07. I think when u feel its right. we did ours so early but we had fun doing it and havent changed a thing since.
she probably told you to register because they are planning your shower. I think it is not too soon to register...
we registered right away because people were HOUNDING me too. people want to buy you engagment presents from it. GO FOR IT!
I registered around May/June and my wedding is 9-29-07
I say take the cue from MOH Register now, you have nothing to lose.
I don't think its too soon.. i think its about a good time to register for an april wedding. Figure your shower might be in february sometime... so the fall would be a perfect time to do so. I haven't yet registered for my June 2007 wedding.. but i will be registering before the end of the year... my plan is to be registered before the holidays.
i think its safe for you to do it soon.....but also i know when we went they said 2x a yr stores bring out new styles for bath sets and beddings. So the next 1 they told us is the fall....so since thats so close id prob wait and see what comes out. But def do it within the next 2 months or so!
I would register soon. They may change things later on but you can always update your registry but I would get things on there now. This way people can buy holiday gifts or gifts for other occasions too!
