When to register?

There's no harm in looking or putting stuff on now, of course. I think completing it by 3-4 months before the wedding is a good time frame. That's when we completed ours (after a few weeks of going through the various stores and their policies and deciding which items we needed) and guests started asking about it.

But keep in mind that some stores turn over the their merchandise quickly, meaning something you chose this month might not be there a couple months later. Anecdotally, I've heard Target does this, causing frustration for couples. So if you do it now, just keep an eye on it as time passes.

DH and I registered with Bed Bath and Beyond and Crate and Barrel and were satisfied.

My weddig is June 21st and we registered 5 months ahead of time. (But we literally just got engaged in Dec!)

Anyway - I registered at BB&B and what they do is send you a notice if any of your items are being discontinued! I like this so I can go online and delete/add. I got a list of 4 items already but nothing important...a glass pitcher, etc. I would definitely give yourself ample time....it is very confusing and you may want to go back a second/third time!
