I noticed that alot of you girls are registered already. I didn't register for my engagement party b/c I figured it was too early and my FH and I really want $$$ (I know we're bad). How long before your actual wedding date are you supposed to register?
we didnt even bother with a registry as strange as this sounds i dont want a shower

Re: When to Register
Even tho you want money people are gonna buy you stuff that you won't use so I suggest registering for some stuff. They will look up registries and buy off it we told no one we registered except our parents and siblings.
We plan on registering more in late summer early fal.

Same here. We registered about a month after getting engaged. We had an e-party, and we got a lot of things off of the registry as well as money. I also figure, this way people can use this for birthday and christmas gifts as well.

Re: When to Register
my friend told me when we got engaged to registry as soon as possible because for the holidays, birthdays and if we have an engagement party people can buy stuff of the registry. Its totally up to you.

Re: When to Register
We registered right away, even though we didn't have an e-party.
Lots of people will want to buy you registry gifts for birthdays, christmas, etc. Without a registry some people will just buy you random housewares you dont necessarily want or need.
Just hold off on towels, bedding and bathroom set stuff. it gets discontinued very quickly.

Re: When to Register
we registered at the two year and two month mark...Yes, it was early, but we figured we could get it out of the way and always change things on the website if we had to... Whenever you want to register, at this point of time, go for it...Plus if there are any holidays or birthdays people can use your registry for gift ideas!!

Re: When to Register
I haven't registered yet either but I'm hoping to do it around the one year mark. Although BBB is having a event this month (forgot the date but it should be on their site) Where they will be closing the store for people who want to register and providing cocktails and consultations.
