Just curious, when do we register??? Wedding isn't until 9/10/04. How far in advance do couples usually go?????

You register whenever you feel like it..people may want to start buying you things early, as gifts..its never tooo early, thats what I was told. We did it when it was convenient for us..you may want to register at a few places..Have fun! I loved registering...picking out things that Might actually be mine was GREAT fun!

Well I was told to register once I got engaged (especially if you're having an engagement party), however, if you do, don't register for anything that can be discontinued for next season, i.e. China, stemware, etc. Stick with frames, vases - - this way you don't get stuck with 1/2 a set you can't complete.

It's never too early. But I do know that Fortunoff's and Macy's will discourage you from registering for bedding too early because the styles and patterns change frequently.

Thanks for the help! I'm getting anxious and want to register real bad! We already had e-party, and I didn't want to register for that. We already live together and I didn't want to be rushed and pick my stuff.

I registered for my China and my Stemware a year and a half before my wedding and I did not have any problems. I received pieces as engagement gifts.

If you are going to the actual store and not on line to do it - wear comfortable shoes I wore mega heels and was crying to FH to go home. I only got half my list done !

I need to register for some stuff FH know we want, and I can do alone. Sending out E-party invites and Fh does not come home until august. I don't want to do this alone

I picked out the china I want, it's lenox opal innocence. However, I think it's fairly new so they don't have all of the assessories I would like. I am hopeful that they will add pieces, that's why I didn't want to register to soon.

HOW FUNNY!!! My China is Lenox Pearl Innoscence. It's the same pattern, only in off-white instead of white. I love it!

We haven't finished registering yet. There wasn't much we really needed so we also registered at www.THEHONEYMOON.com for our honeymoon excursions.

Just at Fortunoff's. I really want the cake topper of me strangling Brian. When we thought we were movign out a few months ago, we bought our china and even some furniutre. I needed almost nothing.

I registered my china stuff right before our engagement party because my boss wanted to buy us china....then we registered at JCPenny and BB&B about 6 months prior to wedding date
