i want to schedule a trial with Oksana but she isnt available on weekends b/c she's doing weddings (very understandable). My problem is that I live in Philly and for me to get a trial done during hte week would require me to take a day off from work - which I really dont mind since I hate my job - but I do need to conserve my time off... Also, I don't want to waste the makeup and do nothing with it... Is anyone else struggling with when to schedule this???

Re: when to schedule a trial??
I'm (hopefully) going to do my trial the same day I have e-pics taken.
We have 2 e-pic sessions (we won 1 at WOTY, and the other comes free through our photog) - so I'm doing 1 in the fall, and I'm hoping to have a makeup trial the same day.
Not sure about hair yet - I may just use a family friend that does awesome updos.

What about a Sunday?. I had an appt with her on a Sunday afternoon. I think if you book in advance, she can accommodate you.

Re: when to schedule a trial??
I tried booking my trial w/her for a weekend too or before I had a party to go to but none of the dates worked because she had weddings.
I had to do it on a weeknight and just made sure to see FH after to see what he thought and then it was a waste because I went home and washed it off.
Ultimately, I'm glad I got it out of the way and booked her before my date was taken - that was the most important thing to me.

Re: when to schedule a trial??
hey girls,,
just a FYI , I was looking to do the same thig as you guys,, Book oksana for my e party ,, At least I thought id work out that way,, Girls, I dont know when u are all gettig married or need your makeup done for a party , but u need like a month if not better notice , if its a weekend with her,,
Seems she does most her trials during the week, because the weddings are on the weekends, & thats when she is booked,,
So just my insight on it , My e party is the end of may , this year , & its a sunday, she wasnt avail, thats why i went yesterdya & she even had a weekend booked for may in 2007 too,,
thats why i said on my earlier board for my review, sorry if i have a date twin , cuz i got her first ,LOL

Re: when to schedule a trial??
I'm planning on having my 'trial' at my sister's wedding. I figured that I would just get my makeup done and if I like it I'll book the same person that she's using.

Re: when to schedule a trial??
I am having my trial with Sachiko Yanase around August or September. She suggested any time after six months to the day of the wedding.....because (1) your taste may change (2) the trend (what's in/out) may change and to schedule more than one or two trials is tough on her (I am sure since she can only do them during the weekdays, weekend shes booked as with other makeup/hair artists).
