Okay - here's a question...(repost from BHB)

I know the standard send the invites timing is 3 months prior to the wedding..

My quandry... We're getting married in January and the earlier you book travel - the better deal you get - especially around any holidays. So - we want people to know in advance about the wedding timing, etc...

The save the dates went out a LONG time ago - we were so excited to get them out.

For a January 20th, 2008 wedding - when should I send the invites - to be safe??? I was thinking second week in September and have the RSVP date be early December or late November...

What are your thoughts???

I always thought it was a month or so before the wedding. I am getting married on 1/11 and i was going to send mine out in the beginning of November with a Dec. 15 return date.

im getting married 2 weeks after you
im sending mine the day after thanksgiving with RSVP of jan 7

Yes - but you have to give the CH your numbers in advance....that's cutting it a bit close isn't it???

i think they need the final count 2 weeks before the wedding so i'll have that by jan 15
