Is it ok to send out bridal shower invitation before sending the wedding invitations? When are they normally sent out?

I think mine have already gone out and I am not sending out wedding invites for another few weeks

I think this happens quite often. I've gotten shower invites before the wedding invites on several occassions.

I dont even know what's proper etiquette, my girls are planning the shower and wants to know when I'm sending my wedding invites. I'm not doing it until end of July, should I tell them to go ahead with sending their shower invites?

The shower invite can definatly go out before the wedding invite. The only etiquette is if you are invited to the shower you should be invited to the wedding. I already had my shower and wedding invites won't go out until august.

wedding shower 1 month b4 shower date-wedding invites 2 months b4 date
