Some people send them that early. We did 8 weeks.

i learned from someone to send them 2.5 months in advance and set the RSVP/response date to 4 to 5 weeks before to give yourself enough time to chase after the ones that don't respond and get your head count :o)

I'm sending mine out in June and RSVP by August to give myself enough time to track the missing RSVP's down and also to send out my invites for my B list.

We sent ours out what's considered very early, about 19 weeks because more than half of our guest list was from out of state/country and we didn't do save the dates. We didn't make our RSVP early though.

Know what though I should add that that wasn't ALL of the invites, some are still going out! But the out of state/country ones definitely went out. We're actually still collecting quite a few addresses!

I sent mine out 2 1/2 months early...my wedding date is June 6th, so I made my reply date May 6th and Im STILL chasing down people who never sent back. So make sure you give yourself plenty of time to do that

We sent ours out around April 1st / March 31st and the RSVP date is June 5 (which is pretty early) for our 7/18 wedding. We also didn't do Save the Dates and have TONS of OOT guests invited.

A few invites were still dribbling out last week as I got some more addresses, which was fine since most of them were local.

I made the RSVP date very early (6 weeks before) because I had a feeling I was going to have a lot of non-repliers. So far I have a little less than half the responses back.

8 weeks is enough time to send out invites. If you send it too early people will forget to send the RSVPs.

Did you send out STDs?

I plan on sending our invites around 9/1, with an RSVP date of 11/1 for my 12/5 wedding. But we have a ton of OOT, and we're required to have final count in before Thanksgiving even, so I wanted to make sure we had more than enough time to track down stragglers/implement the B list. Plus, FH's family isn't exactly what you would call prompt lol.
