Our Wedding is November 14. RSVP is October 19. I'm thinking of mailing them September 8 (right after Labor Day)... we do have a lot of OOT guests.... Your thoughts?

Sending them out 2 months in advance is normal, but I would send them out just a little bit earlier because of the amount of OOT guests that you have. It can't hurt to send them out earlier!

I heard 2-3 months before is the norm...
We are sending ours out probably the last week of July/first week of August.....If you have a lot of OOT guests, send them out an extra 2 weeks early JUST to make sure....if you sent out STD's, then send them when you originally planned!

3 months? Woah... that's really far in advance. We did send out Save the Dates last year..... I was afraid September 8 would be too early but that's technically 9 weeks before the wedding.....So, according to you awesome ladies...I'm right on schedule...right?

So then I'm good with early September, right? I don't want to seem over zealous and I know that if I were to ever receive an invite too early...I would think it's a bit odd....

i plan on sending mine out 3 months prior bc 1) i have a ton of OOT guests and 2) its around the holidays so I want to give guest plenty of time to arrange stuff.

I took a wedding planning course and got a certificate for wedding planning. I don't practice it yet (trying to plan my own and help my friends out) but I can tell you that etiquette is 8-10 weeks for a NON-holiday weekend and 10-12 weeks for a holiday weekend. If you sent out Save the Dates then that is fine. If your wedding day is NOT a holiday weekend then proper etiquette is to send your invitations 8-10 weeks in advanced.

I'm sending mine out 3 months in advance... my wedding is November 13 so they will be out by August 13. EVERYONE at ours is an OOTer plus it's only 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, so I want everyone to have the time to get themselves situated.

I'm also getting married 11/14!!
I am sending out my invitations by 9/1. Our RSVP date is 10/1. I am sending them a little bit earlier than normal and have an earlier than normal RSVP because I have tons of OOT guests - about 50 percent of my guest list!
Plus, the hotel room block expires 10/14 so I want people to have enough time to book rooms, etc., and still allow for the annoying RSVP follow up phone calls I know I'll have to make!
