When to send out invitations - Help!

Ladies-


I need some help on when to send out my invitations and have the response card due.

I am getting married May 29, 2011 - Memorial Day weekend. We have a lot of guests coming from out of town. I send the save the date's 11 months in advance.

what are your thoughts on when I should send out my invites? I was thinking March 1st and have the response card due April 15 (6 weeks away).

Is this too soon? What are your thoughts?

I think send them mid-February (but after valentine's day so it doesn't get caught in the shuffle). People may not have gotten your STDs or forgotten about them by then.

As far as RSVP goes, I would do it at least 6 weeks in advance, NO LATER. So you may even want to put a March 30th date b/c that will give you about 8 weeks. Better safe than sorry and more time to hound people who didn't RSVP.
